Go big! I'm running a comet GT scoop and it looks awesome and is fully functional with the cut-out for the 14 inch air cleaner.

If you end up going through the hood with your intake/carb/filter combo that CJ one won't be big enough for a standard 14 inch diameter filter.

I'd go with a Comet or Boss 9

That big one isn't a 70's comet GT scoop cause it isn't wider at the back

No its a early 80s mustang hood scoop, a couple of the guys have them on their cars, unless you actually know what they are then most people dont know that they are not a factory comet GT hood scoop.

Thanks everybody for your input. I went with the small one, I guess because I have always love that look. I also plan to paint the raised area of the hood as I have seen others do here on the forum. There was a Green car and I can't find the pic of it but it's beautiful and thats the look I'm after. If I grow old of it the bigger one will fit over any holes so I'm just putting it aside for now. Thanks again Rick

I vote the large scoop. It looks like the scoop on the Comet Gt and follows the hood line better - IMO.

Ohhh! Guess I got here a little late.

I like the GT scoop myself. The big one you have doesnt follow the body like the GT scoop. Not a nice fit.
Of your 2 choices I would have gone with the small one as well.
