    Hey guys,

    Happy Hunting at Sumter. I enjoy going there.

    I am saving my pennies for Zephyrhills. It runs 2/21 through 2/24. If you have never been there it is a blast. Swap meet, probably 200-300 cars for auction, vintage dirt track racing, and enough other old vintage stuff to keep the wife interested too (old glassware, furniture, wrought iron). It is about 2/3 car stuff, 1/3rd memorabilia. A lot of vendors that make the Turkey Rod Run set up here, too.

    Lil and I will be there Saturday 2-23 along with some friends. It would be great to meet you guys if you can make it.

    Thanks for responding, Jason... is the Speedway thing at Daytona what we've heard from others that they have everything, motors for sale (built) and all that, etc., etc.?

    The spring event at Daytona is a lot like the Turkey Rod Run in November ... fill the entire infield of the Daytona track with swap meet vendors, show cars, and cars for sale. You have a very hard time seeing enough of it in one day. A lot better if you plan for two days. :thumbs2:

    well said! the spring event isn't as big as the turkey rod run but still a very large event. the infield is for vendors and swap meet and the outer area is for show cars and the car corral. wear sunblock and comfortable shoes.

    did the sumter swap shop happen yet? or is that this weekend? I went last year (saw a white 4 door I think it was a 74? ) I wanted to go agian this year, but I could not rember the dates. thanks for the help

    Sumter's Spring event is Today thru Sunday (2/15 -2/17). They also run the first Sunday of most months.

    Whewwwwww Sumter was big this year. There was one white Maverick there for sale, but it had really been chopped up. Did get a good deal on a cam, lifters, springs, roller tip rockers, and push rods for my wifes P/u. Don't get too excited guys it's a bowtie.
