I'll check to see if there is a discount on the multiple-vehicle transport truck somewhere and maybe we can BOTH go. ;)

Well I'm not a Maverick owner yet!

With money in my pocket we looked at the '74. It ran quite well for its age and the trans was smooth. I felt like I could drive it around before starting any serious work on it. Got a price we could live with 1K. Decided to make the deal. Then we find out the guy is a shill for a used car lot. Doesn't really have the title but the "dealer" would take care of it for an extra $50. Seller was a front for daddy who added "fees" on until the asking price was met. We walked, and won't walk back.
I gotta say, there was just something about the little car that called to me. You set low, really "in" the car. I liked that. If this one talked I'm sure there is another one or two out there that will speak to me as well.
For now I guess I am going to have to spend my money on my old p/u so it will pass inspection next month. Not really old its a '99 Dodge that I have worn out at only 153K on the odometer. The front end is trashed and the tranny whines and leaks. Know anybody that wants a deal on a v8 dodge? Thats why its in bad shape cause I didn't want to spend the money on it.
That Maverick was cute, saw a Falcon I liked too. And I like the name "Comet" everybody should own a Comet!
