I've had the cam for 11 years. It's still in the box--never been opened. I am about to put it into another 302 that I plan to swap into my Maverick this summer. I have 3.55 gears and the Performer-289 Intake with a new Holley Street Avenger 570 carb. I want to run this combo for awhile until I can eventually build my original 302 to a 347 Stroker. Well, that's the plan anyway...

    Just about a perfect match.
Headers? They'll help, but not required.

Hey T.L, Sounds like your going to make your 73 a Drag Car if you have a 347 is that the plan?

No, not a drag car. Just a Resto-mod. It will be a couple years before I can afford the 347. Too many other things I need to do...

Just wondering how much Horse Power do you want or plan to have if you go with the 347?

BTW, When you did your conversion to 3:55 gears what did that involve, and how did you fix the speedometer?
