I've been around through 10 Presidents,6 decades, that puts me in Hawko territory I guess. First Maverick I ever wanted was a 73 Grabber, red and black 302 Auto in the floor, black bucket seats with the flat dog dish hubcaps. My grandmother drove it fo a couple of weeks after she wrecked her 67 Nova. I wanted her to buy it something awful, told her I'd buy it from her when I turned 16. Instead she let my Uncle talk her into buying a 69 Delta 88 Olds. She said the Maverick wouldn't get any gas mileage like her Nova 250-6cyl did. He fed her a line of BS about the Olds 455 in his 68 Delta getting 20 MPG...yeah right. Anyway, the Olds was$600, half the price of the Maverick, it was a good car but only got about 18 MPG though, really! Her Nova didn't get but 19 MPG, go figure. From Ike to W, Before we went into space to I-Pods, I aint old, just seasoned, like a fine wine or a good cigar.

Scott, I know the feeling. I have some bad habits (temper) that my kids want me to stop. I can tell when they get out of hand, but can't control myself. If it's not ok for them, then why is it ok for me? My youngest just walked out on me because of it. When will I ever grow up? Might be to late for me. Heck, now that he is gone I have to go out and work on my car by my self. I loose again.
