Interesting. How much did he lower it, and how thick were the spacers? I'm assuming he just sliced that post up into rings and put them between the shock and the bracket?

I don't know how much it was lowered, but yea, it was just cut up.

Why do you have spacers between the upper shock bracket and the inner fender or spring tower. If the shocks are too long and you over compressed them when hitting that pothole, something has to give.I have cut my coils and we have bad roads up here and havent done any thing like that.JMO
chk out post 18 and #1 pic number 3

Do you recall about how big they were, and whether they were under the bracket or just the shock? I might experiment with this to see if it changes the ride... I get a little bit of bounce in the front end if I hit a dip in the highway, and I attributed that to just having a much firmer spring than what the shock was meant for. But I guess it could also be the shock's compressed too much and not able to do its job as well...

What do you mean by under the bracket? It's been nearly 8 years since I've seen that car in person, anything I could tell you would be illustrated in that picture.

I mean do the spacers go between the bracket and the tower, or are they between the bracket and the shock? I'm assuming the former.
