    my uncle did the same thing for mine, kinda. its a steers head pin that he welded some all-thread to and voila, custom one of a kind wing nut. maybe a maverick emblem you could put on the front of your hood.:huh: kinda like a hood ornament but you just make a couple holes and fasten it on the front over the hood lip trim or over the FORD letters if you have em.

    Thanks......I ordered some alumunium today probably be here in a day or two. If i get a chance before the end of the week im going to 2 emblems and see what you guys think.

    It's just a flat disc type piece, right? Gotta see if I can find a way to mount it. Maybe cut up one of those cheap chrome exhaust tips they sell at Wal-Mart... What size is it?

    I wonder if you could fabricate those and make custom gas caps? I think those would look cool.:idea::idea:

    if they're the same diameter as the center emblem on the gas caps, i'll sure try it. i have 3 gas caps, and one doesn't have the mav emblem, just a generic one, so I'll be savin for at least one of those after i get the comet. :D :D :D
