To clarify... the 2 in the second pic, and the 6 I was talking about on my '76, is on the back side of the battery apron also, looking in through the right front wheel opening. Wonder if that number really does correspond to the model year the car is?

Craig and I discussed this orange stamp. We felt that it says 'QC2' or something similar. Quality Control is probably what it means. Middle of the inside of the decklid. Note: number stamps on valve cover That's all for now.
I thought I had a picture of my trunk lid with the decals inside it...but I don't. All I could find was this picture. You can "sorta" see the inspection stickers.
