i would like to know how many people here own a comet and not a maverick

    1974 Comet GT almost ready for the road.
    Original 2B 'Bright Red' but now has the smaller '73 bumpers.
    Original black vinyl busket seat interior, all stock except
    the est. 300 hp under the hood. and the slightly beefed up
    floor-shifted C4 a/t.

    my 73 comet i got for only $350 bucks from my friend. he was an idiot he sold it to me and went out and bought a ford escort. he was pretty stupid about that. he boughit for $500. he just wanted to get rid of the thing. i don't have any mony right now so it still needs a really good tune up. that's about all that is wrong with it other than the few rust spots here and there. it's in pretty good condition. it only has a 200 in it though. i would love to put a bigger engin in it but with out funds, you know how it is.

    That is a nice lookin 4-door!! Hope you can make it to the nationals. And I would like to say thanks and congrats on being the Florida State Rep:) :D We didn't have any Comets SHO at the last nationals:(

    there is a small bumpered brownish colored 2dr comet on my route that i wouldn't mind having... only has a dent *large* in the driver front 1/4 from what i can tell... kinda hard to see at 4am..

    Note: Remember Mavericks came out in 1969 and the Maverick styled Comet came out in 1971. I don't remember, but the Falcon styled Comet came out in 1961 (I think). Mavericks out produced Comets by about anywheres from 4:1 to mabey 5 or 6:1 depending on vehicle year.
