a guy at work told me today how he does them. if the bolt is broken off even with the head he lays a nut over the end of the bolt and welds the nut center to the bolt. he said the heat and the nut makes it easier to remove. said never has failed to get one out that way. if it has threads on the bolt he puts a nut on and welds it to the bolt. maybe i should have talked to him yesterday.good luck...frank..

Unfortunatley that isn't an option for me as there is nothing protruding out to weld anything to. Car runs ok now I fired it up yesterday haven't taken it for a drive though cause i've been too busy but I will at my earliest chance. I know i need to use JB Weld, Epoxy or something to secure the choke tube but i'm broke right now :(

We deal with this stuff all the time here at the base the best way to fix your problem is to drill and retap. As dennis said you will probly break the EZ out, EZ outs are hardened and the only way to remove them is with a carbide rotory file which takes alot of time and cussing.

Center punch the bolt, drill small pilot hole, then drill to tap size

    5/16-18 is a "F" drill
    5/16-24 is a "I" drill
    3/8-16 is a 5/16 drill
    3/8-24 is a "Q" drill
    7/16-14 is a "U" drill
    7/16-20 is a 25/64 drill
(there are three types of drills letter, number, and fractional)

The hole will tap very easy because the hole has been taped before and you are just removing the theads from the bolt.
