Really!!! It would take a real fool to try to put a Boss 429 in a Maverick!!! :hide:

Would want to put my Yellow Maverick back to concourse (SP??) condition with the engine tranny and options that are on it now. Basically a 1972 200 I6 Grabber that is 100% factory original and just like Brand new.

Then the tan and white 73 Grabber I think I would go with maybe the Mustang II front end for the handling and to open up the engine bay and put a 351 Clevland producing somewhere in the high 550 -600 HP range some nice wide, sticky but streetable tires on the rear and some nice wide low profile tires on the front for cornering. Rear Gears in the range around 3:55:1 and a 5 speed tranny beefed up to handle the HP. ALSO would def. have to be Airconditioned. Reclining bucket seats that either loook and sit like the originals OR a nice set of reupholstered (to match my interior) Bronco II low back bucket seats. (because I think they are the most comfortable seat I have ever had in a vehicle)

Kick ass AM/FM CD/MP3/Cassette stereo, full set of guages and a nice column mounted Tach.
Paint job would either be a Stallion Clone (for my son) or painted to look like either my Dad's 72 Grabber (red w/ black grabber stripes) or maybe clone the paint job on my 70 V8 ?? not really sure on the paint but would definetely need to be multiple buffed and polished coates of a NON-Clearcoat Acrylic Enamel.
As for the Rims I think I would have the 70's style Mustang GT rims that are already on it stripped and chromed. Oh and definetly would have to have the Cobra Jet hood scoop with the functioning turn signals in the back of the scoop.

Not like I didn't get the idea from someone else. :D

The Boss 429 is the baddest engine ever built, period IMO. There is no better. I will say that. :)

:D:biglaugh::naughty: Nah, the car is not at his house, it's in a storage facility where I can promise no one is going to be able to get to it without some serious effort due to the security and stuff they have. Then good luck finding the car in that place, since all the doors look exactly the same. ;)

I would have these guys do this to my maverick, instead of the 65 fastback.

What would I do? I'd trade the white '69 for a concours original '66 GT 350H!
    White with gold stripes!
