I would love to have my 1969 Mach1 back. I had that car for 12 years and it was cherry. In that few years I owed it, I was renting a house from my sister. BIG MISTAKE!!! She was a miserable b*tch who hated my Mach1. It was an old car, therefore it was junk in her eyes. She also refused to give me a lease. Another big mistake, but I was young and dumb and I needed a roof over my head. One day she mailed me a letter ( she only lived 5 doors away ) telling me I had 30 days to get out of her house because I had not paid the rent. All lies because I had the cancelled checks to prove otherwise. She was a great one for snooping around the house when I wasn't home, so she knew I didn't have the money to move at that time. I wanted to get away from her as fast as I could and the only way I could get the cash to do so was by selling off stuff I no longer needed. Sadly, the Mach1 was one of those things. I literally cried when the new owner drove it away.

 Forgive me, it's a Chevy.

Grandpa's 1982 Corvette with the crossfire injection. Red with red leather interior, T-tops and the big turbine dress wheels. It was the last year for the distinctive "big humps". This one had a sweet low rumbling sound that shook the windows of houses as it drove by. It was one of the first cars I ever drove. I have great memories of that car. I came across a black one of the same year the other day. I really wanted to buy it very badly.

I would like to have my '88 Turbo Coupe back. It had 6 way power adjustable leather buckets, moon/sun roof, auto lights, auto adjustable shocks, timing adjustments for premium or low grage fuel, auto climate control, equalizer in the dash, amp in the trunk... The little 4 banger was humping 250ish HP through a 5 speed when I sold it. She had a lot left in her. The clutch was shot, I already had 2 other vehicles, and didn't have the money, time, or space to fix the clutch. So, I sold 'er for $1150.

2nd choice would be my dad's '67 Anniversary Gold (awful color!) fastback stang with the factory 4 speed. Rust and all it would still be worth a fortune today.

3rd is my uncles maverick with the boss 302 transplant.

Always a tough call, but I'd have to vote for the '74 Camaro Z28, with the 350 Turbo, that I had before I knew anything about fixing cars. It's always nice to have a classic, but even better (to me at least) to have one from the year you were born. I got it for $400 from a pal who ran out of space at his house, and it was in dire need of a bodyshop, and the suspension was shot front and back, but that doesn't dim the memories of driving home at 3 AM on the highway going 130 LOL.

Knowing what I know now, I'm sure i could have fixed her good and kept her from blowing up on the interstate on my way to a convention.

too many cool things have been made over the past century to pick just one.....

if I learned one thing while working at a large collector car shop, some of the "cool" stuff I thought I always wanted, wasnt "all that" after driving them. some of the "hot" muscle cars were really pigs, and I figure alot of the hype and mystic surrounding them came with time passing and the guys just remembering the good times in the car. I drove alot of the so called special stuff , took them to lunch, ect..... some were really cool,a few even surprized me, most,.....ehhh, no thanks after spending a little time behind the wheel.
