This thread won't die!!!!!!! Who cares what motor you out IN YOUR CAR. If you saw it at the show we would all say "Wow that's cool" then as we walked away we would say bad things about it.

Personally with gas prices some of these small but powerful engines might be a great choice. At least you would be able to drive it more often :D

I dont know why everyone is so bent out of shape about this thread. These cars are mavericks not mustangs so its not like they are worth anything.

i'd rather have a late model import with an old american engine then an old american car with an import 4 cylinder.

ive always had the dream of picking up a 2 door corvair h/t and stuffing a 455/toranado trans axle in the trunk. then i gurss i'd have to put a grill and radiator up front since they were air cooled i believe.

That has been quickly changing in recent years and is not so true anymore.

    Or a Caddy 500 from a 70's El Dorado, that'd be awesome!

ive been looking to get my hands on one of those as a matter of fact. I think my regal could use the good ol 8.0 under the hood.

My grandpa has a '73 Coupe DeVille with a 500. My great, great Aunt bought the car new, only has 32,000 original miles on it. She was one of the well spoken little old southern lady types, and she believed "every proper southern lady should drive a Cadillac". She died back in 1989, but I'm here to tell ya, That big old boat will burn the white walls all day long! :biglaugh:

I had a 75 Coupe De Ville. I traded it for a dog and $275.
The 500 was scary smooth and strong.

I was wondering about a Mustang 6 or even 4 cylinder and tranny from a late 80s/early 90s. The horsepower is similar to my 302(135hp)
