what kinda milage did that bot get? haha

hp ratings might be close but im sure your 302 can put down a little more lowend tq

i got a buddy that works up at a service center/gas station and out back in the yard the owner has a '74 caddy sitting for sale. its pretty rusty and its in a pretty high class part of town so there is very little intrest in it. i keep trying to get the kid to ask his boss whats in the damn thing so i dont have to come up there again but i guess he's too shy or something. the guy only wants $300 for it and if i can get a 500ci and $100 in scrap metal and maybe throw some crap on the bay im sure i can make my money back

As far as I've read the later smog era cars were underrated. The numbers were lies too keep insurance low, or something like that.

Save some money man, that's a great opportunity! Now you only need the corvair, or drop it in one of your g bodies.

yea the corvair plan is probably a little to advanced for me but i wouldnt mind having something with 500 under the hood. start my own stump pulling business ;) i'd make it dead quiet too, usually im a fan of roaring headers but i'd make that one a sleeper

alot of those smog erar engines are cursed with low compression/flowing heads. usually a back dating head swap and intake can more then make up for it.

You are on to something here. Only I would use an old Ace Hodaka 100 for the power plant. That way you get the scream'n 2 cycle sound with the cool blue smock belching out the back...It would class things up a bunch.:rofl2:

The V6 is more work then it's worth. The 4 cylinder is a tighter fit then you woul think, but it does fit. I have one in my '69.5, and it is running, but I have not came up with mounts for it yet or anything. Engine is just sitting there in the engine bay.
