It was because of Bill, Paul, Don & DeeDee, & you; that I decided to get the car painted this year. All of your cars shine so nice. By the way! You were suppose to give me the name of the stuff you use on your paint to keep it shinning...I find it hard to believe that your paint job is 12 years old. It still looks new...I'll be needing to start using that stuff in a couple of months, to keep it shinning & protected...

Sorry I missed you today Coop. I was looking forward to seeing you and maybe checking out your neighbors car. Trunk looks sweeeeeet! Can't wait 'till it's all buttoned up.
Tell Cathy traffic wasn't toobad, but there were a couple of lousy spots.

Sorry I missed you too. Glad you liked the trunk lid. I think the color is awesome. Can't wait to get it back together. I would've taken you to see the Maverick, in the carpeted garage. When he does finally get it done, I bet he doesn't drive it & enjoy it. He will be paranoid that someone will scratch it or he'll get hit. He's a perfectionist...and a clean freak...

I didn't make it Friday to see the car & get pics. Bill called to tell me he wouldn't be home...So, I told him I'd come over on Sunday & bring my wife. She hasn't seen the car in two weeks (just pics). She's been dying to see it. Bill took us back to look at some small parts he painted. Here are some pics...Enjoy!

Then we walk back to the garage to look at the top. The sh*t head has the garage door open & the car is completely painted. What a shock for my wife & myself. It still has to be wet sanded & buffed. But, it looks awesome! I can't believe how good it turned out. The colors just go together so well. Here are some pics....Enjoy!

Then he has me help him put the hood & trunk lid on. Then tells me, to put it outside for some pics. I said it raining...He said, it still has to be wet sanded, go for it...Here are some pics....Enjoy!

Wow ... the standards are getting raised all the time for the quality of cars that folks are turning out! Beautiful Comet! I see you painted the roof on ... Is it smooth or textured?

Dan....the roof is smooth. It is painted "gloss black metallic", same as the hood stripe, rear spoiler (mach 1), & tailight bezels...I didn't want the upkeep of a vinyl roof. And I like the chrome strip for the top. So it was decided to go 2-tone...I also will be putting the LDO side trim back on. I painted the vinyl insert, with black vinyl dye paint (rattle can). Can't wait to get all the chrome back on. It should be a thing of beauty...
