If I were in your shoes I would be thinking like this:

    1. Disk brakes don't fade and in a panic stop would save that sweet car from being totaled.

    2. 302 = More power to get out of a sticky situation and save that sweet car from being totaled.

    3. A/C will make the car more comfortable in the hot weather and might get your significant other to ride in the car more often. With all the young ladies that like these cars, I'm not too sure if that is a positive or negative thing though... :D

Just my thoughts on the subject,
    -Scott H.

Yeah that's pretty much what I'm thinking. It's tempting to leave it stock, but why leave it stock when I can make it even better. Luckily, I have a 71 2-door that already has a bunch of upgrades that I need for the 72 Grabber. I'm thinking of doing the following:

-Swap in 302 - possibly build up of engine such as AFR 185 heads, etc.
    -Possibly convert to 5-speed manual
-Touch up engine compartment while engine is out
-Install power disc brakes in front
    -Swap in power steering
    -Swap in A/C
-Swap in 5-lug spindles and rear end - possibly upgrade to Versailles disc brake rear end if I can find one

I have a restored 71 grabber and a 71 Survivor like that... trust me The original paint and stripes look much cleaner! Dont mess with it! Finding original paint Survivor grabbers like that are few and far between.. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR THESE CARS ARE MADE IN CHINA... try n keep it as original as possible
