Yea, my brother put that tach and matching temp, oil and volt gauges in when he was driving the car daily last summer/fall. Their all good gauges, but I prefer the more old school look, so I'll probably be putting my late 60's Sun Super Tach and gauges back in soon now that I'm driving the car daily myself again.

I also have an identical white faced one laying around that my buddy gave me. I've also got a Super Tach II that my dad ran in his Comet back in the 80's.

see the beauty of it is how many chevys there are in the lot to choose from. dont get me wrong there are a lot of fords that were used as taxis and cop cars but all the chrome is worn off and the high mileage makes it harder to find cherry parts :p

    Chevy "Knobs" ...

I seen quite a few of them out there ... most of them walking around car shows ...

Especially my one big-mouthed buddy ... "Well,... my '69 Camaro ..." is usually the point where my eyes roll back in my head, and drool starts seeping out of the corner of my mouth, as I am once again lulled into subconsciousness ... :rofl2:

    It's all good ... we turn trash-talking into a spectator sport. (y)

When did Ford change the knobs? My 69.5 knobs don't look anything like the ones you had.

69.5's were the only ones to have different knobs.

Hey Jamie, should I recognize that red Maverick? The only chevy part I have on my F100 is the 4 pin ignition modul feeding my duraspark but I have it well hidden. lol

Every 71-77 Maverick I have seen had the same knobs from the factory. Do you have pictures that show different?

Yea Clint, you should recognize that Maverick. :) Though I don't know if you should recognize it now. Probably looked a little more like this last time you saw it :D

The car should hit 100k miles since I put it back on the road sometime within the next year or so. I ran the Chevy ignition on it for quite a while also. It has an MSD 6AL on it right now, but that will be going away for a "distributorless" system soon. ;)

Chevy engines are NOT ok. Body and electrical parts are fair game.

Come on. not even just this once? Besides, I'm sure it'll have plenty of the "fair game" parts on it too, just to balance it out.:stirthepot:

I'll take some pictures of the knobs tomorrow. I believe that the knobs in my first maverick, a 70, had the knobs as my 69.5
