I just requested that day off, we'll see what my scheduler says. I went last year so excited to go again this year. Last time I didn't enter the mav but this time I will. hoping to have the T5 in by then and who knows, maybe even the 331
Everytime this show comes up i have something to do, it usually falls on my birthday.. but this year i'll be in Vegas that weekend For my 21st B-day party...and the best part i get to see my favorite band of all time... all the way from Helsinki, Finland.
we may not be coming this year some of you may have seen my wife's rock crawling Bronco at the show when we had it there a couple of year ago. We were out with the az classic bronco club last weekend and she rolled the bronco and her leg came out and she broke both brokes in her lower leg.The good new was it was not a compound fracture they put a plate and 9 screws in the tibial and reset the fibula yesterday. She still wants to go but we will see how she is doing on friday before the show to make up are minds. Here is a pic of the bronco after we had her out and was try to flip it back over.
Not sure yet. NSRA Street Rod Nats In Bakersfield the same weekend and I may have to work it if I'm still working by then... As far as no Maverick class, well guys, ya gotta have more Maverick entries and put a person on the show committy. I did that for the Falcons a bunch of years ago when I was the So.Cal. Falcon Pres. It's easy to do. There are about 6 meetings to attend and work the day of the show. If we can get 10 -15 Maverick/Comets to enter each year it is do-able and I'll help as much as I can.
sorry to here your wife is not well- speedy recovery to her. i just went to the web site for the fab fords and not one pic of a mav or comet-SAD!
I would like to meet some local socal mav/comet owners if for nothing else moral support during the resto of my comet. This sounds like a great event but unfortunately I also work (near March ARB) on Sundays...
there's this other show, i will be attending this one. Not with the maverick though. and its really close to march air force base http://www.showandgo.org/
