not sure if this is the right thread to comment on but seems in the ball park. I have a 72 igot a 74 aftermarket replacement tank in it. here's where it gets interesting i have swapped to a 5.0 efi engine. i purchaced a bbz in tank fuel pump. which sending unit do i use to get it to get gas to engine. or do i get a different pump? i am having the hardest time getting gas to engine. Please help.
'Not trying to reopen a can-of-worms here, but I had my rear valance off while installing my new leafsprings, and noticed that that "bar" I was referring to is actually above the gas tank, hence it's not really doing much (if at all) "protecting" from impact. I think that's probably one advantage that the big-bumper cars definitely have (but damm, Ford could have made them look better -- Chrysler & GM certainly did). So on that aspect, I'm gonna have to stand corrected. I still don't like how the larger tank hangs below the valance on small-bumper cars, but to each their own.
