Dave, We're those three or four leaf springs? And did they raise the car at all? I am hoping to drop mine, that's why I was looking into Eaton.
Slapper bars are the chrome bars located in front of the rear tires on this picture. I have Springs and Things 4-leafs on the rear of my car. Not a stiff ride at all, and give the car a nice little "rake" with no air shocks or extended shackles. I have Eaton spings on the front. For as expensive as they were, I would think they would have been dead-on accurrate. I had to cut off a full coil in order to even get close to correct ride height. I ordered them to fit a 1972 Maverick, 302 V-8, Factory AC....all of which I have.
Hi Glenn, I did go with the 4 leafs, but they replaced the stock 3's that I had de-arched, I measured the before and after (I may have even posted it), It didn't raise my car anything wild. My factory springs were so soft, that with one leg I could almost flatten them right out. The ride is totally different. I'm going to order another set, and use lowering blocks on my project car.
For a retro look, I was going to try these: http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=1069TMK+01 I'm told that other have installed them on Mavericks.
You missed this part... "To get exact pricing for parts for your vehicle and for prices on suspension parts not listed on this website, please IM, email us at info@springsnthings.com or call us at 800-903-9019 or 570-672-9413."
Ok Jeff. Thanks for info. I did miss that, cud'nt figure why they wud offer all that suspension hdwe and no leafs.
Not so sure that would really be a retro look. The idea behind them is much like the Calvert set ups (Caltracs) that many racers use today. Big yellow Lakewood traction bars would be retro.
