    Hi again Ray:
Thanks for the comeback. I was speaking to Joe Greeves of Mustangs and Mofified Fords magazine and he thinks that the article and the shoot will appear in this months inssue. Probably next week or so , I think the magazine comes out on the 20th of the Month. I met Joe Greeves and Mark Houlihan at the NPD show this year and they asked if I would be interested in having a "shoot" of my Comet for an upcoming issue .. Duh !!! OF COURSE I WOULD !!! So we did the shoot in St.Augustine ,FL in early February near the ocean front . This guy Joe took a gazillion pictures and sent me a CD of the photos and text he had written for the magazine. I still have it but I'm not SURE when the article will appear , or what will be in it . I guess magazines have their priorities and they have a certain amount of room and pages and that is usually the deciding factor on any article. Anyway .... I'm looking forward to seeing it , its an honor to appear in ANY magazine , especially a "Ford" oriented one. Incidentally, I'm really going to try to make the HOT ROD Power Tour this year and I know its coming to your State of Alabama . In fact it ends there. I hope to see you there at the tour grounds. I'll keep you posted if I'm able to make this one . See ya . :) Cometized

Thank you very much. Just keep me posted when that Comet of yours gets featured!!! That is one awesome car! I hope to build one similar soon. Very impressive car! :)[/QUOTE]

    Magazine shoot ..delayed

    Hi again Ray:
Looks like I missed it this month. I spoke to Joe Greeves and he said to "hang in" cause we're in there.. So I guess I'll just wait and see what develops. I'm not going on this years Power Tour like I had planned. We just are too busy here at work and I can't get away even for five days. So .. I'm hoping for next year. In the meantime I'm thinning the heard and I'm selling my 71 Grabber 331 stroker , and the 74" Comet 408 stroker on ebay and craigs list this month. I just don't "need" five cars and two trucks .. The grabber and the comet just sit in the garage and gather dust since I can't even find the time to drive them any more. Its a waste not to drive them , so I'll let some other individual enjoy them as much as I have. I'm going to try to drive to Alabama on the last day of the Power Tour just to see some of the action and I'll look you up . You'll be easy to find with that bright blue Maverick. Hope to see you then. In the meantime, take care and enjoy the tour. :) Chip

Chip, looks like I will only be able to go there and enjoy the gathering when they get to Mobile Alabama also. I had a little unfortunate incident in my shop with the blue car so I'm in the process of doing some work. As always, one thing leads to another so looks like I'll be reshooting the enire car. Not a problem though...getting some things done I've been wanting to do for a while. Namely, a steel Shelby rear body panel rather than the fiberglass one. Those stress cracks were driving me crazy. Anyway, looks like I'll have it in the booth the weekend of the Power Tour if everything goes okay. I'll still be there to check out the car, but I'll be driving my black/white Stallion so I'll still be pretty easy to spot. Hope to see ya there! :Handshake
