Nope, none of our cars are street legal and they must also be 93 or newer, FI. The way I was told, is the participants will all bring their cars from local and across the country and make some baseline test runs. Then the cars are impounded and at another date, the three man teams get 1500.00 in their choice of parts to install in 45 min. Then it is back to the track and paired up in a bracket type race according to the baseline runs. The winner of each race goes through the same routine again only the money is increased as well as the time to install the parts. Thru eliminations each time, the winners finally get up to turbo's, blower's and whatever else they decide to use within the greatly increased budget. Also they can add another crew member if the parts are more difficult to install, as well as time. Is going to be interesting to see how it all works out, understand Roush Racing has an entry along with others. Centerville Dragway is celebrating 25yrs in business and like George Ray's, is a family run affair. Is a fun track and "VERY" tough compitition every week. Nothing fancy just good clean and "fast" racing in both Saturday night heads up and bracket's on Sunday. Jr. dragsters are running too, some at the high 7's and 87/88 mph in the 1/8th mile. We have been racing there since 1992 and have made a lot of new friends and had a "bunch of good times". Will keep on top of the news and let all know what is happening and dates. You can go to Centerville Dragway's web site and follow all the racing there.
