He lowered the BIN to $4000. I'm undecided on this one. It is a completely original looking Grabber, that has been taken pretty good care of. I don't believe the mileage, look at the pic of the speedo and you can see the numbers aren't aligned, the second digit is higher than the rest, I've only seen that happen when it rolls over. The rust in the hood lip and wheel wells is normal to Mavericks, but being that the car looks to have spent it's life in the Ohio/ West Virginia area, how much salt has the car been driven through in the winters, and how much hidden rust is there? Like already stated, vinyl tops will hide a lot of rust. It's far from a parts car, but to make it right there are still lots of dollars to be spent. And like Dave said, it all depends on you area.....it will bring less here in the south because of the rust, but up farther north that would say, "rust, what rust?, that's not rust.":D If you want a real nice car and don't mind putting another $4000 in it, I'd say go for it. Might be even cheaper if you did all the work yourself. If you have to pay to get it done, you might be better off to keep looking and buy a car that needs less done to it. $4000 is the max I'd go on it, $3500 would be better, but I'm able to do the work it needs. So, I'm still undecided. The plus is that it's a complete Grabber, the minus is that there will be some rust repair and then it will have to be repainted. I'm not going to even get into the 6 vs 8 thing, I'm just going on the appearance alone. I would want to do a close inspection or have one done before I really went gaga over it. So now I have muddied the waters more, and didn't give you and answer.:D So, go by your gut feeling. If you really like it and want it, go for it if it feels right. If it don't feel right, stay away!

Lowered reserve to $4000 huh? That would be getting closer to the $3500 I first threw out there. If somebody could do the rust repair that's going to need done it could be worth it. This is one that I'd probably pull the trigger on now if I had the cash. But in order to have the cash I'd need to sell mine. I'm pretty happy sitting in a completed LDO right now and not having to work on another one.

Last I looked it was at 2650.00 and thats what its worth, if I had to have it 3000.00 I have bought Mavericks from all over the country 3 from ebay alone. It is nice to start with something in one complete piece. I have to agree on the odometer a misalignment of the numbers would make me skeptical of its accuracy.

Considering the paperwork, that comes with the car, I doubt it's a cobbled up mess. Someone cared for that car. Sure it has rust, but it's a 39 year old car, and they rusted no matter what.
It would be a good car to restore, needs work, but they all do. That build sheet that's shown, I've never seen one like it, it's almost like a quality control sheet.

I have never seen one either. Maybe it is a dealership check-in type of sheet??

Well someone is going to own it. He has reduced his Reserve again and it's at $3500 and the reserve has been met.
