Well thats funny, you like what I would consider an old beater also.

Maverick's have been known to do quite well on road courses with the right suspension upgrades. There was a video on here a while back showing it.

Your Subaru's are heavyer then Mavericks and slow.

Also, the site is called DRAG TIMES, not Rally times, so that's irrelevant here.

A few members cars do rally race. In fact I am building my car to do just that. When it is done I will be happy to play around with your Subaru. BTW I read on your site how having a conversastion with us would be a waste because we are red necks. :rofl2: That must make you Yuppies:biglaugh: YOu guys are so two faced. You come here first and started all this. We are gonna finish it. :evilsmile

Please elaborate, something like 97% of all Subarus are still on the road today. What does Ford stand for again???

Sorry, I know turning is a foreign concept for you. :yup:

That's right you wouldn't, because if you did, you would see that there are 2 Subarus faster then the fastest Mav on Dragtimes. :woohoo1:

Relitivly speaking, wouldn't that be a "new" beater? :biglaugh:

Very few rally races are on road courses, but considering how light the Mavs are, I bet they can be made to be formidable on tarmac.

Heavier, yes, AWD will do that, but slow, my car was given a 0 to 60 time of 5.3 seconds by car and driver, that's stock with about 230 hp. Not slow, even by muscle car standards. Sorry. Not to mention how easy they are to upgrade with just bolt ons, 400 hp isn't too hard to come by, even on the old hampster wheel engine. :p

My comment was about a car that isn't your typical dragster type configuration still can do quite well in this type of racing, because it is a very versatile vehicle, far moreso then most cars. The Ford equivalent (I use the term loosely), the Focus RS isn't even sold stateside. :16suspect

Oh, and 1badmav, that's cool, should be alot of fun, you may have a little more difficulty in rally cross though. I gotta give you all respect though, your cars are pretty old. :)

Don't see why he wouldn't. We all know how you are representing for the Subaru guys, right here ---> oddnoggins.

You would probably have to have one to think a Subaru is fast. :yup: ;)

Whoa, step back guys. The Slowaru guy is breaking it down for me.

LOL 97% of all Subarus are still on the road. That is the most hillairious thing I have heard. There are at least 10 Subarus at my local Pull A Part at any given time. I would be seeing 60's and 70's Subaru's on the road just as much as I see any new car if that was true.

    1. It would be considered a new beater if I was talking about your car in specific. I don't recall saying anything about the SVX being a old beater. If I did, please point that out.

    2. Rally race was not mentioned in this sentence. If it was, please show it to me. My point was that Mavericks can be made to handle since it was basically said that they cannot.

    I could go on...

The dude is so quick to defend his piece of crap that he can't even read half of whats being written.

Ain't it funny how they come on here all nice and then get their panties in a wad when they start loseing? :)

Hey guy's i'm a virgin to this site untill today. I'm a Subie owner and came
across this thread (vote for my SVX) and had to click on it. I was stuned
to see that this SVX/MAVRIC challenge going on:hmmm: Now we all know that
the Crack won't smoke it's self, which has been proven through this thread.
I gotta say that Jons Mav is a bad M-F'er, you would have to be F'ed-up
like a Football Bat to not vote for Jon. I love my WRX-Wagon but I cast my
vote for Jon, hands' down! The SVX shouldn't even be in this vote IMHO.

Anyway good luck Jon and if I could, I would vote multiple times.

    BTW-That's a very nice ride (y)

I know, it's hillarious. It's like holding a string above a kitten's head and watching them jump up and try to catch it with each post trying to defend their Slowaru's. And then they are over thier huffing and puffing about "them Maverick guys" and accusing us of not playing fairly... I'm lovin' it.

    Maxwell, thanks for the vote...
