    Thanks,

Today I placed the trunk lid on the car, and noticed there's a slight gap in between where the bottom of the trunk lid and the new tail panel is at. So when I am doin the trunk lid I will have to make up about 1" down to the rear panel.

Originally when I did the trunk lid wing I had it about 1" higher than everyone agreed it should be. So I'll just have to move that inch down to fill that gap. I'll try to sneak out to the garage tonight and snap a picture of it to get a visual of what I am talking about.

Although, the rest of it should be fairly easy to do... Just need to get my bottle back from Oxarc, and get things hooked up.

I also have a question -- Is the tail panel (when the car is level from front to back) level vertically? The new shelby tail panel seems about 2/3" off from level (top side is to far in, and would need to be brought out said 2/3")

If not, does that 2/3" get taken into consideration when the car is on all 4's and that's to accommodate from the stance? (front lower than rear?)

Also, the shelby tail panel (i am assuming is normal) bows from side to side -- Center is more inwards than the ends.

Received the remaining of the 4 link brackets from Bears Performance! They look great, and it was a pleasure working with Kevin Zimmer. If anyone needs any thing for their cars check out www.Bearsperformance.com -- They'll work with you, and help you find what you're looking for! When you go through them, request to speak with Kevin Zimmer and tell him Levi Zoesch sent you -- He'll take care of you :)

It was mainly my fault, after I re read the email it did seem like I wanted them ordered -- and I probably shouldn't have ranted in here about it... Regardless, I wanted/needed the brackets. It worked it self out and I am a happy customer. It was a miscommunication on both ends. Kevin Zimmer apologized and we are eye to eye that it will never happen again. That should NOT be taken into consideration for being afraid of ordering anything from him. Kevin is a great guy, and it is, and will continue to be a pleasure doing business with him.

Having done this mod with the rear pan, i can say I didn't have the issue that it looks like you are. It is my belief you were a bit overzealous with how much of the stock rear pan you cut off. And how much of the new one you expected to be able to fit up. The two pans are very different. If you look at my thread, as well as where Dave Boyer did his after me, you will see where we kept more of the stock pan, and trimmed the new one to splice in more than you did.

Nothing you can't overcome, but it will require more work than was really necesary.

    Alright, Alright, Alright....

    CHANGE OF PLANS!

The car is a 1971 Ford Maverick Grabber 2Dr Sedan
    VIN
    1K93L162598
    Body
    62D - Grabber 2DR Sedan
    COL
    J - Grabber Blue
    TRIM
8B - Medium Blue - Deluxe Woven Vinyl Bucket
    Axel
    6 - 3.00:1
    Trans
    W - C4 automatic
    DSO
    74 - Seattle

    Plans

Looked up both my current car (1969.5 Ford Maverick) for values on Nada Classics. I believe this is the best for myself, and for the future of the build I plan on doing.

My Current Car with what will be in the car after its built - At High Retail - $5070 (WOW)

The Grabber with the EXACT same options as my current car - At High Retail - $14,430

So, IF in the event I ever chose to sell the car, Since it is a "Grabber" i believe I could ask even more. Regardless, Nada classics is not really a gauge to go off of when its a custom built car. I Completely acknowledge the fact that those number above don't really mean anything because the car wont be "stock", but I do know that I can probably get more simply because its a "grabber".

The money that I have invested into the car, project has been in body panels, brackets, etc that can be removed from the car. The only money I had into the 69 shell was about $400.00 and that was media blast, epoxy paint, and time.

So, Sadly I cut the car up because the wife said one car ONLY and what she says goes  Here is the car in the back of my truck. I took the quarters off of it, and everything I could that was valuable.

I will keep the VIN #, and title for my current car in case I need to vin a non titled car that comes my way :O

I will be using this Grabber as my platform, I wont have to replace the one quarter, and I can still enjoy the car while I am collecting parts. Once I have everything for the Suspension for the front of the car, and the wheels/tires. I will then strip this grabber and go from there. In the meantime, I will drive it here and there.

I am headed to Seattle Monday for a few weeks, so I will spend this weekend cleaning up the garage and spending time with my Family.

    Enjoy the pics :D

I wanted to see if I could find the build sheet under the seat, and rats got to it, so I threw it away and put my recently upholstered seats in it to get it out of the way in the garage, and to enjoy it because I will not have a back seat in a few months.

Wow, they put the furnace on the floor in a garage! I hope you don't have any gasoline leaks, or spill anything flammable in the garage while the heat is on....
