magnetic cowl cover

    You can make these yourself with any magnetic material from your local ad/marketing shop. I started cutting these myself years ago and have used them in many different ways.

    1) To keep rain out: This keeps 95% of the water out, but not all due to the drains at the bottom of the windshield as mentioned above.

    2) To block air on the highway: This works well. My 73 has no heat/air box right now, so when it's cold outside, it's cold in the car. Putting this on helps! I have no problem with it at highway speeds.

    3) To keep water out of parts cars: I have put these on parts cars to keep most of the water and trash out of the cowl. This works well, but after years of sun, the material starts to get hard and curl on the edges. Possibly a different thickness will hold up longer, but it's cheap enough, just cut another!

    4) As freezer decoration: Yes, I still have my original (used to cut new ones) and one extra on the front of my freezer. :rofl2: It makes for conversation, everyone wants to know what they are.

    Currently, I am using a roll of white magnetic material. You can get colors too! (y)
