Maverick 351 swap

    If you eventually go w/ headers,Crites is the way to go for the money,custom made for that combo and will bolt right on.

    Ok. I milled down the ribs on the right exhaust manifold. There were no ribs on the left one, but I did take a little off at the bottom where the exhaust mounts. I do have a little clearance on each side, but the stud on the left manifold is tight up against the steering box. I can't see how I can get more room. Next weekend I am going to move my lifting chain to the right side and try to cock the motor a little bit to gain clearance. Maybe loosen the trasnmission mount and try to push that over a little. Oh, I did grind off a lot of the hump on the side of the steering box, but it didn't really seem to help me much,

    Oh, And I did manage to mate the transmission and put a few bolts in. So now I am working with it as a unit. However the transmission mount is still attached.
