All I can say is I'll try and get back in time to get over to Cambridge. I'm thinking we should be back by 1pm. She won't like it but I'll try and rush back. Should be able to make it around 2 - 2:30pm. I'll try...

Hmmm..... Friday night, 200-300 car cruise, some Mavericks and Comets, that sounds good too. But i think it's going to rain, at least according to the weather man, and we all know he's never wrong.

200-300 cars on friday. There would be a time that I would be there rain or shine. As I only had one car to drive, which was my white 71 GT. I spent a better part of my younger days all weekend in that neck of Ontario. I have cruised thru Welland many times but, seeing that she requested a "getaway" night and me wanting to be back early, I could be pushing the envelope, so to speak. I promised her a wonderful night of relaxing, a nice dinner above the falls at the Keg and of course the friday fireworks. Then to stimulate the economy at the casino. I'll be lucky to have gas money to fill the tank the next day. But thanks for the info and invite. Besides we'll be in the wife's mustang... :hmmm:

OH I FORGOT, Comrick, it wouldn't be the first time I had to book a night at the "Comet Inn". Seems like they always have a vacancy available. But I have discussed Saturday with her and yes she is a very understanding woman. :whew:

Now there's an idea !!! Last blast of summer, swine flu pig roast. That may take some figuring out but as Comrick said, mmmmmmmmmm roasted pig, yummy. As for this weekend we have all seen the forecast, could there be a contingency date of the following Saturday??????Same bat time, same bat place????? Just thinking out loud. I just get a kick out of having that many Mavs and Comets together a one time, especially with it being a "non-sanctioned" event...

I guess we should sorta play out this by ear. Let's say at 2p.m. if it is raining than we have a no go but if it is dry we are on. It says that the rain should stop by noonish. If it goes to hell weather wise then yeah next Saturday we could hold our "Non Sanctioned Maverick Comet meet" What-cha all think?:p:bouncy:
