I am new to MCCI, and would love to attend, but I live on the coast south of Houston, and really don't trust the old mav driving that far. It would probably make it, but I would hate to blow something in deep east texas and have to hang with the inbreds (de-da-de-de-da-de-de-da-de-da-duuuh!) read as music from Deliverance. (no offense to East texans, I am from there myself! just a joke for the yankees.) Damn! now I think I have offended EVERYONE!

Maybe I shouldn't even try to come. Keep me posted.

You can come in something besides the maverick if you want.

Andy, I hope to make it - it would be a shame to be this close and miss out on meeting everyone. I won't be in my Maverick, but I sure would like to see everyone else's.

I'm sure we can work something out on the hood. I've had the side marker light in my car all this time in case I ran into you. :)

It would feel like sacrilege to come to a Maverick meet in a Hemi Dodge or a Supercharged Bonneville. Both nice cars, but NOT a Mav. I might just try to make it. Keep a cell phone handy and give my dad the keys to muy truck in case I have to tow it back. May also trailer it in, and drive the last 20 miles, hiding the truck and trailer. It would seem cool that I drove all that way, and the lie would be secret between just the few of us...

you guys have all helped me out so much, I would love to meet you (and thank you) in person. Let me make sure the wife has no previous plans.

    Scott

It would be just over 500 miles, on a mostly stock 302, with 55,000 miles, that has never seen more than 40 miles per trip (and until recently, never over 50mph), and has a new cam less than 50 miles ago. Kinda scares me. I am a total wooos. I may have to drive the truck up there and haul the car for looks. Maybe.

I would love to blow it up so I can build a new one, but I don't want to have to walk 400 miles to get home. It would be really nice to have it blow up as I pull out of my neigborhood and gun it on the highway, then I can PUSH it back home and rebuild.

I'll try to come up with the money. Im not gonna call and try to reserve a place w.o the money upfront.
I get paid next wednesday so maybe I'll have it then. (budget pretty tight lately)
Scooper, if you want to trailer it in and drive to the place, you can park your truck at my house, or at my mothers house. Moms is less than 10 miles from the park, and my house is maybe 25 miles.
