Got home from work and was able to give everything a closer look. I am happy to report ... well kinda sorta happy .... that the hood and trim were the only casualties ... Incredibly I could probably have fit a peice of paper between the top of the grill and the bottom of the banged in hood ... it was very, very close to have clobbered the grill as well! I also had to do some yanking and pulling on the sheet metal because it had jammed up next to the hood release and I couldn't open the hood.
Man that really sucks! Just be glad, it could have been MUCH worse! As for trailering them, "Fords are meant to be driven, and driven fast!". We tryed to trailer my dad's car one time, it almost ripped the exaust out from under it trying to get it on the trailer. Dad said never again!
Could have been worse but it still SUCKS!!!! I feel for you. Hope you get everything back the way you want it. I have been there so I know how you feel. Mine was a grabber hood.
LOL .... did a quick "Home of the 20 foot body work" repair on it. Drilled a hole in the back and pushed it out ... It actually may be OK if I skim it with some Bondo ... I just wanted to get it presentable for now ...
wow, an orange hood. was that really a cat in craigs garage or dans spy. craig, better make sure the garage door is closed and locked.
Sorry to hear about the fender bender. Hate when that happens. Hope you get it fixed soon. Looks like a good job, at pulling the dent out. I agree, these cars were meant to be driven....I drive my 70 Grabber or 74 Comet 4dr as a daily driver. I like the looks I get....
