Congrats, Dan! You deserve the kudos. (y) We do see some of the same thing here with the rarity of Mavs in W. Pa. I can honestly say I've never been ignored, or have any of the few Mavs here been either.

We're going to a local All-Ford event Sunday (actually, the only one in this region between Ohio and Carlisle) with a friend who has a beautiful blue/gold survivor '71 Grabber. We both did well there last year and the Mavs got a lot of attention even from the throng of Mustang guys (it is a MCA sanctioned meet).

I have to agree with you Dan. It's fun going to car shows & cruise-ins & getting a lot of attention. I love talking about my car & answering all questions. It seems everyone in there brother owned one, at one time or another. And they always say they wished they still had it. I went to another cruize-in car show today (President of Beers Convention) is what they called it. It was open to all makes & models. I just went, to have people enjoy my Comet. Like I've been doing for three years now. I just about peed my pants when they announced my name when giving out Trophy's. It's the first one I've ever gotten (what a thrill). But, not as much of a thrill as talking with everyone about Comets & Mavericks. The announcer even said, it was one of the nicest 73 Comet's he'd ever seen. And he hadn't seen very many. It's nice to see these cars get the attention they deserve. I have to admit I like being different. LOL There were a lot of better looking cars there then mine, that's for sure. I've put some pictures up of the show & my Trophy. WooHoo!!!!!!!!

"Most unique", nothing wrong with that in my book. I think it's a compliment to say these cars are unique, since at one time they were consider common. It's a badge of honor in my book! :bananaman :bananaman

    Congrats!!! (y)

I was at a cruise in Griffin, GA over the weekend, and the Mav got a lot of positive comments, as well. Got beat out pretty badly, but considering the cars were a $100K+ Willys, a megabucks 56 Ford, and a Pro-Street mod motor Edsel, I ain't complaining. Very nice car show, and one I will go back to next month. Later,
