I am not sure what to take apart to reach the ignition switch. I heard the steering column can be pulled down, yet, I have tried to do so with no success.

Remove all the plastic trim pieces, then remove the 4 bolts holding the 2 straps that keep the column in place. The column should then just drop down.

The pieces feel like they are about to snap at each attempt I take at dismantling them. Is there a layout on taking the pieces off without damaging anything?

I located 2 bolts at the base of the steering column. There's probably more. I'll won't have time till tomorrow morning to check everything out.
