its 5.4 and thats cruising 75 or so I was real surprised. It did not do that good going out there....but Ward took us through some old logging roads or something, felt like I was on a rollercoaster and Ward drives fast
I've pulled with both a 4.6 and a 5.4 (exact loads) and didnt notice any difference in mileage between the 2. Thats been a couple years back tho
Logging roads!? Logging roads!? Hell you had 2 lanes when climbing a hill, you should have went through a few years ago when it was 2 lane from just past Dexter to Willow Springs, you got the gold treatment:evilsmile. A couple more years and it will be 4 lane all the way to West Plains.
My 99 with the 4.6 got around 11-12 towing my car to Atlanta in June. It gets about 18 average around here. With my heavy azz trailer, I stayed around 65 on the interstate, any faster and the trailer wanted to drive the truck. Of course we don't have as many hills as ya'll do in Ky, nor are they as steep..... The hauler drags were cool! Looks like something they'd have on Spike TV !
I averaged 12.4 on the trip. John, if you get a 2 car hauler, you could keep it at my house. I promise to bring it to the Gathering every year for you to see.
I usually kept it around 65-68. Slowed down a little when the tire started to vibrate. you won't believe this but my wife had a vibration in her car. We took it in since we were coming up to the mountains yesterday. She had a rear tire seperating too.
And the funny thing is that they are all different brands. This one was also under warranty so they replaced it for free.
As long as they keepp coming apart under warrenty you have it made I just hope nothing ever happens to you or your family because of them.
