Has anyone here swapped in a 4V Cleveland with a M2 front end? What headers did you use? I want to do this and would like headers with 2" or 2-1/8" primaries.

I did the swap but there is no easy answer to your question. Because I needed to use a Canton oil pan designed to install a Cleveland into a Fox Mustang, the engine sits a little higher in the Maverick because of the Mustang II cradle and also sits an inch or so further forward too. Looking for a set of headers that will bolt right up and clear everything, I didn't find any. There was a set made for the Cleveland into the Mustang II chassis that might fit and they do come up every now and again on Ebay.

I used Hooker Competetion headers originally built for an early 70's Mustang BUT I notched out the right side frame rail for 1 of the tubes to fit. I also notched into the firewall for another tube but might not have needed to. The driver's side header bolted right up and cleared the frame but I haven't got my steering column to go through the left header yet and I still have to "invent" some sort of clutch release that will fit.

I'll measure them tomorrow, John. Something tells me that they are 2 inch.

Couldn't find my calipers and had bad lighting but a tape measure says that they are under 2 inches :)
