I always heard that jeeps have "true posi". They still have some sort of slip?

What, exactly, does a POSITRACTION system in an Army Jeep consist of (I am talking about what some call a "true Posi")...I just assumed it was spool-type posi. I have heard of jeeps making that chirp, but it is not important since they are usually run in dirt or mud and the chirp is not noticed.

No offense, but I would not reccomend spooling a vehicle owned by a seventeen year old. Things can get out of shape very quickly and with zero warning. Driving experience is very important.

I completely agree that spooling is a poor idea for anyone under age, I am not sure WHAT age that is, but some sense of maturity is needed for a spool, or any other tool of power. As I ranted on another thread, any powerful tool needs to be used with caution and experience.

I think of the trouble I got into when I was 16-18 and recognize that I wouldn't even be alive if I had a spool, 500 HP, or anything other than a 4 cyl Chevy LUV Pickup. I did some of the stupidest things with that truck... :slap:

Yeah. I have had my experiences and i am done with stupid driving. (Street Racing, and Dirt roads.)

With that saying all my friends call me a pansy if i dont do their stupid crap, like getting in their car will they go to the street races, or mudding in a strangers field.

:16suspect Chevy Luv huh? Hmmm... Nahhh, shouldn't even think you had any ties, but when I hear those words [IMG] :D

I need me a good rear set up. That's one of my projects i'll be starting. Hopefully I can pick one up for a decent price already to go cause I really don't have the experience with building one.

I am fine having a one wheel wonder for the time being. I can spin both tires even with the stock set up.
