Never seen Fast and Furious 3 or 4 but i'll want to see 5 for sure. Congradulations!man your car looks awsome!
movie mav Thanks Jamie and all - I've got to be in downtown Atlanta to pick the car up at 6:30 AM in the morning. Tonite is the last night they will shoot. For the last three nites they have started at dark and worked till 6 AM every morning. Lots of people, equipment, $$$$$, and hard work to put a movie together.
It would be cool seeing a car I owned in a movie but I just don't think I could turn my car over to some movie dude and walk away. I know I couldn't turn the 71 F100 I have owned for 32 years over to Vin Diesel to drive. They want my truck I would have to go with it. lol clint
movie mav OK - so the Movie filming was over this morning at 6 AM and everyone had to come and get their cars out of the lot by 6:30 so the crew could take down the lights and set props. I noticed alot of people checking out their cars real close for potential damage issues. Most all the cars there had some damage - mostly scratches and dents from the actors and extras leaning on the cars , sitting on the fenders and hoods, and just general disrespect for the vehicles. Lesson learned - although it sounds like a cool deal -maybe get to see your car on the big screen and get paid for it to boot - it's not worth the risk. I received the insurance paperwork from Universal Studios this afternoon to file a claim. I,ve got some serious scratches and a coupe of small dents on the tops of both my fenders. My first and last time to do a movie car deal.
Sorry to hear about it. Make them pay to fix it right. That is the one reason I couldn't let my truck or my Maverick when it is finished be left with people like that. They don't do manual hard type work for a living and have no respect for stuff like a 71 Maverick. It is just an old car to most people like that. Hope you get it fixed clint
movie mav They have already sent me a claims form and asked me to send a written repair estimate on Monday. I get the feeling that this is pretty much normal procedure for these guys. The damage to my car is limited to the tops of the front fenders mostly scratches that are too deep to buff out - not too bad. Some of the newer, high dollar tuner cars and customs had dented panels and scratches all around. Lots of pissed off owners - NSX, BMW, Porshes, etc. My first and last movie car extra deal. BEWARE - if you ever have the opportunity.
sorry to here that man yea figures thats a daily thing for them if they just rolled over and willing to pay you for it
