MSD - ignition issues

    timning

    So - I did try to check the timning yesterday and got a fairly steady signal, but, @ idle it read 0* and @ 2800 only 10*. I'm trying to figure out if its my lite or some real issue going on here. I did have a problem getting a steady signal form the lite. That gear thing may be interesting to look into also Benji. Thanks for the suggestion.

    for the boys car, it was breaking up bad due to the bosch platinum plugs that were in it . to much plug,never had a chance to dissipate heat, and was precombusting. go figger. :huh:

    Go figure. I've seen about as many junk Bosch plugs as I care to. About 90% of them go to the scrap pile within minutes of using them. Motorcraft, Autolite, and NGK are the only plugs I use now. autolites in the race cars, motorcraft in the new car (mother's Fusion) and NGK's in my Lightning and all the 4 wheelers.

    I have seen some timing lights that get "confused" by the multiple sparks, some do and some don't.

    never said they were worth a hoot. just to much spark for the plug to handle. oh well, i got my end figured out.
