PLEASE HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR!!!! If her Daddy is giving you a Camaro to get "rid" of his daughter,,,hmm Just Kidding and Good Luck!!
True, Very True, But you know as well as I do that more of us here aren't in it for the $$$$ we are here because we like to be different and still look cool doing it. If it were about the Cha-Ching this would probably be just another Mustang or Torino board. You know something though, I give the Mavericks seriously another 5-8 years and you will see one on Barret Jackson. It will be a RestoMod with either one helluva 302 but probably a 351, and either professionally shaved towers or a mustang II front end and it will have PS, PB, A/C, Power Windows, 6 way reclining leather bucket seats, probably a 5 speed manual gear box, lowered stance and some kick ass paint scheme and it'll sell for over $35,000.00
hey yeah I wish my Father-in-law would have made me a deal like that... and that SOB owns a Junk yard and I didn't even get a worn out Maverick and I am still stuck with his daughter.....LOL
Although I would never get rid of my Maverick, I have to admit that a '69 Camaro is pretty dang cool. It's the only year Camaro that I truly like...
I'm not in this hobby because I want to make money. However, it would be nice get your money out of a project if you sell it. 5-8 years may be a little early. I think Dan's Grabber could bring about $18,000 now at the BJ auction.
I have to agree! My buddy sold his 69 built by S&W in 70 ran in the 8's 1/4 and I really had to think about it! That was the only car so far that would make me wear a bow-tie!
I also would have to agree. The early Cameros are the only Cameros I like. My brother had a 68' Camero and I loved that car. When I got my drivers lincense and was in the market for my first car, I had my eye on a 68' or 69' Camero. It was even my favorite color; blue. My father would not let me buy it because it was a stick shift. I never could figure out what the big deal was with the car being a stick shift, but I ended up with a Mustang instead. Been with Fords ever since.
I created a duplicate thread in the general discussion forum. Please continue the discussion here and that will free up his ad in the classifieds for prospective buyers.
Don't do it dude, you'll regret it. I would keep the Mav and find some way to also take and keep the Maro. Once the marriage is over (trust me, it will be if you like cars and wifey doesn't), you will glad that you kept your orignal car and added one more the the collection. Park the thang on the street or something. I'm tellin ya, once you give in and take her daddys car, even her expectations will change in terms of what's expected. I know a little too much info, but been there, done that already. Anyway, whatever you choose, bith cars are nice and like one person said, more value will end up being in the Camaro in the long run.
