    they do fit, went to alabama to look at a 71 grabber, looked under the dash and saw the plastic hats. he had rtv'ed them and use sheetmetal screws to hold it in. Figured
    after it getting wet it wont take long to rot out again....walked away from that sale.
    to me the only proper way to fix the cowl is to remove the vent, dash, windshield, hood and fenders and do it right.
