So I put a new carburetor about a month ago come on everything went fine but I didn't got around to it right away because, I had electrical problem yay oh the joy of rewiring the entire alternator grounds and battery LOL now I did put my new carb that I got from a local shop he did an amazing job the thing is after I put in a brand new fuel pump it started acting up in the beginning it just started to run rich fine I did you know tune it in, then after a couple of drives around the block one morning when I was visiting a buddy away from home, started it and it was running like crap, then I checked in with them adjustment screw after I turn the idling and adjustment screw all the way in the engine would not die, which leads me to believe that it's running on the main circuit not on the idling circuit my question is, do I need a few regulator or is it the fact that my new fuel pump is putting way too much pressure for the needle and float, because once I had to pull out the carburetor in the middle of a parking lot and everything looked fine I adjusted the float even a little higher so it would close the needle before the spec height, and still will be running very rich and spending gas like there's not tomorrow I get the fire hydrant sucking on every single bit of gas so do I need a fuel pressure regulator??? Ir is it the carb itself which is a new rebuild..
