Yup:yup: . I was strolling through the shipping department today and there are Maverick headers shipping out fo sho :D . Don't worry about who's who because all the orders will leave about the same time. If you have not received a call from one of our boys I would highly suggest that you call Nick or Sean and confirm (Jayman:D ). The Falcon crowd found out that these also fit their cars and are now calling to place their orders as well (y) . When you guys start receiving your headers let us know. I'm just as excited as you guys are.

    Thanks again everyone. Jamie

    Sweet.

I just read this from start to finish. I got all happy thinking I could drop my 351w in there, alas...

It'll be a while before I get to buy a set, new headers are low on my list right now, below finished floorpans, cowl, windsheild, paint, seats... tires... eh, forget the list.

Shorties that will let me put my column shifter back to factory would absolutely rock.

How about performance, how do these hold up against Hooker 1 5/8 longtubes? Any numbers yet?

Im almost 100 positive they will fit....

There were not major changes (if any) in the mavericks in this sense....

The only thing I can think of is emmisions. In some states you had to have a CARB number stating the parts passed emmisions testing for anything after a 74 model. Dunno if that law is still in effect, don't remember where it was anyway.

1975 was the first year for catalytic converters and smog pumps if memory serves.

Several exhaust/header companys only list Mav stuff to 74 in order to cover their butts legally.
With 75 being cat cars, they would have the expense of all sorts of testing and proving that the parts are compatable with stock Y-pipes and cats.
The parts will work on all years.

What you see is the number for the long tube headers. P/n 268 right? The shorties are p/n 268-1. The web page has not been updated yet. These (as well as all other listings WILL fit through 77). The problem is the cats. The gubment started the manditory cat law in 1975 and in some cases these will not be legal (check your local laws!!!). But as for physically fitting the car, yes, they will.

    What state are you in?
