new gears and minispool

Dang! Thats the only reason i dont put more gear in mine...

 

I got the rearend put together and painted. I am putting it in the car tomorrow

 

I am waiting to see how you like em. I got the same gears and with a spool also. I havn't put mine to use yet, been two + years since I put it together .
Here's a couple of pics of mine. I did add a drain plug and a protector ring in my housing. It's killing me thinking about the dirt that will get on it

 

that sure looks better than mine. I will tell you how it works in a few days whenever I get it together. My car will be a track only car so streetability is not a concern for me

 

I want a weekend street light car, but we have no street lights lol.
What gear oil are you considering?

 

when it was in the tr7 I used supertech gear oil I believe

 

Sounds like the brand... would it have a weight or grade?

 

I believe it is 90w. I will check tomorrow

Its a raining and thundering outside so it will be a couple days probaly before I get to put it together

What's next after the diff project?

 

I am trying to sell a 51 f-1 and 69 f-100 to build a engine for it. If I sell one I will be able to afford it

 

462s with 26in tires work fine in the 1/4. Out the back about 6400rpms. Not so good for hyw, but ok for mild street use. I used these all last year with no problems.Perfect gear for a stroker motor,4000-6500.JMO

 

I got it bolted under the car and just have to hook up the brake lines and put the driveshaft in. Of course its been raining for the last 2 days. lol
