Dave, I cut a piece of heater hose about 2 1/2" long, slit it, and put it over the front pivot to keep things quiet. For adjustment, I jounce the car several times to get it static, run the pivot bar up by hand until it's snug, then 1/2 turn with a wrench. This works best for me on the street...
All the noise is from inside the car.. I always wondered if there are really any significant benifits adding these to a daily driver.
None that I noticed, maybe the occasional clicking, as they connect with the leaf spring. They really change the way the car takes off, it doesn't squat at all.
One of these days I'll remove the shackles I made and swap to some of these. Definitely into solid bushings at the same time. My car is so noisy you'd never know if they were making a racket or not. I wonder if these could be had with the perch scooted forward an inch? Hmm...
Dave, would you be able to post a pic of your CalTracs installed? I'm wondering if they will clear my side exit exhaust that is in front of the rear tires.
