Ok, I have to ask....What size tire, wheel B/S are you running? :D

    AC

EDIT: BTW, I dont really like the louvers, but im not an 80's child so that may be why. Also, I think Grabber stripes AND racing stripes will be too much. IMHO I think it looks awesome as is(without the louvers of course).

You know, I've been really having a blast with this car. I installed Cobra emblems in place of the Maverick nameplates on the fenders and grille. You wouldn't believe how many people have walked around it 2-3 times without saying a word. Finally they would come up to me and say something like "excuse me for sounding stupid but what kind of car is that?" I've had very few people that knew it to be a Maverick...even had one young kid ask me if it was a Viper! :) Kids...ya gotta love em. I've had several people ask what it would take to buy it but it's not for sale. Too much more fun to be had and then I wouldn't be able to take it to the Round-up if I sold it. Thanks again for all the compliments guys...it really means a lot coming from all of you.

Man, I'm glad you fixed that hole in the hood; your motor would have got wet! Love the tail end, with the louvers it looks like a Shelby Mustang. Heck I love the whole thing! Great job, hope your next one is as good or even better!

    Craig,
I can remember when I was a kid riding one bicycle and pulling another one along beside me. I'm trying to figure out if I can do my cars that way. Now of course if you can rent me one of those three car haulers I'd be more than happy to oblige.

    Dennis,
I'd have to get $100 for it and that would include the scoops. I thought about trying to weld some sheetmetal back in it but I really didn't have time to get into that. I was on a deadline for Cruisin-The-Coast when I built this car so I had to use a good hood I already had. If I keep it and get some spare time I'll probably make an attempt but I'm not in any hurry to do so. It made me sick when I first got the car...hard to believe somebody would do that to a Grabber hood.

Wanna strap it on the top of your new Grabber and bring it to the roundup? Seriously, when you come to the roundup, are you driving the car or trailering it? I have a completely wasted grabber hood so I wouldnt mind cutting the center out of it. $100 is a good price if I can avoid shipping.

I know I'm very late on this Ray but I saw it the first day you posted it and I just love it. (y) I'm going to be stealing a few of your ideas, my stepfather is reproducing those taillights and after you showed the one of yours in progress I had to have that also. And I love the way you do the chin spoiler in body color on your cars so I'll have to steal that idea also. Guess I'm a thief:D AWESOME JOB!!!! Ward

the back of that car is right on the money. It looks very good. Those are some fat tires also. The rearend makes me think the back of the car is wider. That sleek look. GOOD JOB.

    Interior Pics

Thought I'd add some interior pics on this thread in case anyone was interested. I've gotten some very positive comments on the color combination by everyone that's seen it. It looks custom yet is mostly factory. The biggest change is the front seats only. I do have a console I will be installing as soon as I get it painted up. I'll post more pics as soon as I get-er-done. I still have a few more things to do before it's finished but it's getting there. :)
