Welcome aboard!! I"m the NC MCCI State Rep., we'll all have to get together one day soon. I'm working on a mini meet and will keep you guys posted, probably be in central or western NC. In the mean time, check out the picture in my signature, that's from Farmington this past year!!

Hey CometGt1974 I saw your car posted on the Farmington website back this summer? Then I saw it again here on this board. I think you were running in the 10.5 class? That is a pretty tough class around central NC. From what I see you have to pretty consistently run mid to high 5's to be competitive. How did you do? If you look at the engine combos, there are a lot of Ford and Chevy NASCAR cast off parts being run in this class, especially from the guys down around Mooresvillle and Hickory.

Sounds like ther are several NC people around. Great. Looking forward to getting together.

Yea, i've been trying to run in Real Street, emphasis on "trying". That "10.5" tire on the farm. website is wrong, it's actually a 10" tire that we run on!! To be competetive you need to run high 5's and i've been struggling to get my car to hook up. My best is a 6.34 @112mph. I hope to be in the 5's next year. My motor is basic off the shelf stuff, 347 stroker with Victor Jr heads.

6.35 is pretty darn good. You can probably make a couple of rounds with that number consistently - but you are right - there are lots of guys running consistent high 5's. A lot of 408 Fords and 406 Chevys.
