I missed the fuel line thread . . . what lines are you gonna be using?

When I put the solenoids in, they were right in the way of my hard dual feed lines. So I rotated the solenoids so they hang upside down, and now I want to buy a braided stainless dual feed kit, with a T in it so I can run that extra line to the nitrous plate.

Then Blown 5.0 chimed in and said I may not have enough fuel to feed all of the above, and scared me off.

you gonna do the extra fuel pump? why not use the mechanical fuel pump for the NOS system and the electric for the carb . . .

That was the first thought that crossed my mind. But I will maybe use the nitrous 2 or 4 times a YEAR, and cannot see adding a mechanical pump.

Now, if I can add a second electrical pump, that will only come on when I turn the nitrous system on, then I have no power being wasted during the other 364 days of the year.

So when I get to the track, I hit the nitrous "power on" button, it activates my switch and the 2nd fuel pump, then when I gun it, we get gas and giggle gas and take off!!!

Just my thoughts, but if you're going to mount it there, then mount it facing cross ways to the centerline of the car, and install some sort of plate at each end to limit movement just in case you're in an accident and the bottle is knocked loose and the valve is knocked off. Just so you don't end up with a missle in the car. But you will still have a fire hazzard with it in the passenger compartment.

If you are talking about the bottle, I think it is supposed to be mounted with the nozzle facing forward, so when you take off, the forces push the nitrous back toward the siphon tube.

Last thing I want is empty pressurize air being shot into the intake with an exta shot of gas, bogging the thing down at the track.

Besides, It will be facing the back, so when the "missile" launches, it will rip out my trunk, hit the concession stand and take out the beer tap, popcorn machine, and nacho cheese melter, and not take out my head.

So, unless I am smoking a cig, all should be fine inside. Only I will be giggling like a little girl.

And not caring a bit about what the heck is going on.:rofl2:

nitrous is not flamable. its an oxidizer. basicly its pre compressed air that gets mixed with gas going into the motor. the bottle will not catch on fire. they explode when they get over pressurized usually from being overheated and the pressur valve that is being talked about fails to burst before the bottle does.

I have found a 1/8" blowoff tube for about $30 in various places. Includes the fitting for the bottle, a tube to exit the vehicle, etc.

I havent tried it out to make sure it fits and works.

It is NOT compressed air. :naughty: An oxidizer accellerates combustion. Big difference here. If there's any kind of flame present, you do NOT want to be anywhere nearby when the NOS gets to the flame. Same reason why you do not smoke around compressed oxygen. People have died as a result of this. That's why you don't want the bottle in the passenger compartment. Y'all are joking about this topic, but it's deadly serious business.
