Very cool picture. Thanks for sharing. Have never seen so many Mavericks & Pintos in one place at one time....
Hey Dave there are still some photos out there...I got two that came out of a guy's office out there that was 'vacated' when they had their last headcount reduction...they had some promotional 4'X3' stills of a Pinto wagon and 4 door Mav...but I had to pull a favour to get them...a lot of guys out there wanted them. I'm trying to see if I can dig a few more out...too bad there wasn't also a back room with old leftover body parts from when Maverick production ended...
Whats the newspaper called? Maybe we can find the original article in an archive http://news.google.com/archivesearch?pz=1&ned=us&hl=en
There are 100's of articles in this link related to Mavericks!!! Lots of pdf files. Is there a way to save a pdf file? I just typed in Ford Maverick Grabber. Of course on most of them you have to pay to see the "REST" of the article. Might be worth the money! Check this one out: http://news.google.com/newspapers?i...IBAJ&pg=2950,1364268&dq=ford+maverick+grabber
It wasn't really related to Mavericks, the whole thing was more about how London has changed over the years as the times have changed. It's funny, at one time we were a big oil refining town. There are some neat old pic's floating around form the 1800's.
I was hoping that the London Free Press was archived. If it was, we could maybe find the original article that the picture appear in.
