He's probably thinking of the Dodge Daytona and Plymouth SuperBird, both of which had an extended "aerodynamic" nose and big tall rear wing...appears to be the concept that the the Drag-N-Fly was going for...

The Daytona & Superbird were ugly to me but I sure would like to own one, if the drag-in-fly came with dual pipes & 4 barrels they were probadly the fastest American Mavericks made. I wouldn't want it to my only Maverick but it would be a nice piece for a collection. Go for it Doug, You would have an automatic winner for some class at the meet!

I personally think the thing is ugly....but I would love to have it!! Since it is not a "factory" car, I would probably restomod it. I would paint it all one color. Something racey like orange...or yellow...or grabber green...or red. I would change the rear to a small bumper. Probably add a black stripe down the side, and over the hood, over the roof, and down the trunk lid. Kind of make it look like a King Cobra as based on the 1971 Torino that Ford made back then. I think THEN it would look cool!!!
