    you guys got me interested, so i'm getting a 73 michigan plate for my mav, its only 35 bucks to register the plate and all you have to do is send a photo copy, copy of title and proof of insurance with a check to state of michigan hehe, and the registration would never expire ether

    I am looking for some cool ones for ky. I have some nice Ohio ones but since I moved to Ky I need something else....

    Of course the catch is that you are only supposed to drive the car in car shows and not use it for "routine transportation". I drive my car more than just in car shows and have never been bothered...but something to keep in mind if you want to drive your car more regularly (at least in MI)...

    You're right...but the same rules apply to the use of antique plates in MI as well. The only time I've ever heard of anyone getting hassled about it as in the days leading up to the Woodward Cruise. People have been ticketed by police for violating antique plate rules. I think it was in Royal Oak...they get irritated by the clog of cars in the weeks before the actual cruise...
