In my opinoin some older cars don't look very good in new colors. Like 64 falcons, their shape doesn't look right with some colors. Mavericks on the other hand look great with most new colors. They have very good smooth flowing lines not sharp like most older cars. It has taken several months to pick the right color for the new car and I'm still not sure. With Tammy's car we took just as long it's painted 2000 regal metalic blue from GM. It does have a slight amount of perl but looks alot like one of the original colors. Just don't rush to pick a color, paint cost to much to make a hasty discission.
There is an old saying that goes, " You are what you eat." I beleive when it comes to cars it should say " You are what you drive." The choice of color on your car can also say a lot about who you are as well. It all depends on the persons taste. If you have a favorite color, say blue for example, take a look at how many different blues you see on different cars and see which one you like best. Then take that color and try to imagine it on your Maverick. If you like what you see in your minds eye, than keep a note of it and explore other shades of blue for comparison. Sooner or later you will find one you are truely happy with. Just keep in mind if the color you pick will go with your interior color. If you have a black interior, any color will go with it. The one thing you probably won't want is something like a blue car with a green interior. Can you say " jingle bells?' In the end , it's your car and you can paint it any color you like.
I think the older Grabber Mavs and Comet GTs look good in the traditional "Super Hero" Colors. Bright and easy to notice. The later more subdued mega bumper cars look good in subdued colors.
Pink huh? Howabout this one? belongs to a friend of mine....don`t ask why....he just wanted the car to stand out
